Learn more about the thermal behavior of your polymeric products!

The laboratories at SPIC are equipped with a variety of thermal analyses. The working horse is the DSC (differential scanning calorimetry). With the DSC equipment we are able to determine the melting point of a polymeric material as well as other thermal properties like cold crystallization, recrystallization and the glass transition temperature (Tg). The laboratories at SPIC are equipped with a variety of thermal analyses. The working horse is the DSC (differential scanning calorimetry). With the DSC equipment we are able to determine the melting point of a polymeric material as well as other thermal properties like cold crystallization, recrystallization and the glass transition temperature (Tg). This makes this technique useful to quickly identify unknown polymeric materials as the melting temperature and glass transition temperature are material specific parameter.

The TMA and DMA equipment complement the thermal analyses laboratory.

Parameters like heat capacity, thermal expansion coefficient, HDT and melting temperature can routinely be determined.
