Next to drying we can offer solid state polymerization (SSP) on a kg scale. SSP is a process in which the polymer chain lengths are increased by heat in the absence of oxygen and water, in this case by means of vacuum. Increase in molecular weight means that the viscosity of the melt increases. Next to that the strength of the end product is higher. SSP is only applicable to polyesters. We also offer SSP trials on a scale of a few grams on our laboratory scale SSP equipment.
