The investment program of SPIC Facilities B.V. is funded by Senbis Polymer Innovations B.V., The European Union through the ERDF Programm, the Dutch Government, the Province of Drenthe (NL) and City of Emmen (NL).

SPIC Facilities B.V. has two main responsibilities within the SPIC Emmen cluster:

• Coordination and communications for the SPIC cluster
• Invest, operate and offer new facilities (equipement) for R&D on sustainable plastics

In 2020 and 2021 SPIC Facilites will invest in the following facilities:

• Multifilament pilot line, both for technical yarns as textile yarns
• Monofilament pilot line, including drawing frame to make technical filaments
• Pilot twin screw extruder, KraussMaffei 28 fully equiped with 3 dosing units and side feeder
• Polycondensation facilities for research and upscaling
• 3D printing facilities (such as 3D printers)
• Analytical equipment for sustainable polymers
