SPIC Facilities B.V. is investing in a fully equipped new bicomponent extruder. This machine will be operational in Q1 of 2021.

The Bicomponent extruder (bico) can be used to extrude filaments (monofilaments or multifilaments) with different structures such as core shell, islands in the sea, side by side etc. We install the extruder set-up on a platform. The platform is lifted to feed the vertical oriented multifilament line and stays down to feed our horizontal oriented monofilament line.

Bico extruder:
– Extruder A: Ø 50 mm, max. throughput 40 kg/h, max. temperature 450 °C, compression ratio 2.0,
2.75 or 3.25
– Extruder B: Ø 32 mm, max. throughput 10 kg/h, max. temperature 450 °C, compression ratio 2.0,
2.75 or 3.25

Spin pack:
– Ø 110 or Ø60 (with insert)
– mono or bico (skin-core and many other options)
– filtration with a single use filter

Waterbath:
– Temperature up to 90 °C. Temperature is regulated.
– Additional extra cooling length (gutter) with water at room temperature

Winding on reels, fully flexible with respect to dimensions, 8 positions
