SPIC Facilities B.V. is investing in a fully equipped new monofilament line, with the following capabilities. This line will be operational in Q1 of 2021.

General information:
Technical monofilaments of a wide range of diamenters can be developed and produced on these machines. There is an option to use different drawing technology to improve mechanical performance of the filaments. Also a lot of winding felxibility is available. Ofcours it is also posbile to make filaments without a winding step.

To feed the monofilament line we can choose between two types of extrusion feed. Please click on the extruder for more information.

• Twin screw extruder (KraussMaffei)
• Bicomponent extruder (two single screw extruders feeding one spinneret)

 

Technical specification of the monofilament line with the bico extruder and drawing frame installed:

Spin pack:
– Ø 110 or Ø60 (with insert)
– mono or bico (skin-core, islands in the sea, side by side,  and many other bico options)
– filtration with a single use filter

Waterbath:
– Temperature up to 90 °C. Temperature is regulated.
– Additional extra cooling length (gutter) with water at room temperature

Drawing line:
– Three stage drawing
– Drawing can be done:
o In hot water, up to 100 °C
o In hot air, up to 300 °C
– Septets can be heated up to 150 °C

Drawing speed up to 100 m/minWinding on reels, fully flexible with respect to dimensions, 8 positions
